Hi! I’m Laura Kinsella, a watercolor artist and the heart behind Petite Prints Studio, based in West Chester, Pennsylvania. I specialize in creating hand-painted coastal keepsakes and custom watercolor portraits that celebrate the people, pets, and places you love most. The best part for me is that I find seashells all summer long and then paint your portraits inside them. No one else has ever gotten a seashell portrait gift, I can guarantee it!
Every piece I paint—from faceless family portraits on paper to delicate seashell ornaments—is designed to turn your special moments into timeless works of art. Whether it’s your beach house, wedding venue, beloved pet, or a favorite vacation memory, my goal is to capture the details that make your story unique.
When I’m not painting, I work as an oncology nurse and love spending time with my two young children, my better-half husband, and our very cute chihuahua, Officer Smitty.

How are your seashell ornaments made?
Every ornament starts with a hand-picked seashell collected ethically from East Coast beaches. I carefully clean, prep, and paint each shell with watercolor scenes inspired by the coast — from soft ocean blues to tiny umbrellas and swimmers. Each one is finished with a protective varnish, ribbon, and sturdy packaging for safe delivery.
Do you take custom orders?
Yes! I love creating custom keepsakes — whether it’s a portrait of your family, a beloved pet, a special beach house, or a meaningful place. You can order through my Custom Portraits page or contact me directly if you have something unique in mind.
How long does a custom order take?
Most custom shells take about 2–3 weeks to complete plus shipping time. I recommend ordering early, especially for holidays!
Do you ship internationally?
At this time, I ship within the U.S. If you’re outside the U.S., please reach out and I’ll see what I can do!
How should I display my shell ornament?
My ornaments look beautiful on Christmas trees, coastal mantles, or as year-round decor. Each piece comes with a ribbon for hanging and arrives in a sturdy box, ready for gifting.
What if my ornament arrives damaged?
I take great care in packing each shell safely. If something happens in transit, please contact me within 5 days and I’ll work with you on a replacement or solution.
Can I order wholesale for weddings or gifts?
